In a previous life, Herr B was called Duke. In 1994, he formed a one-man black metal band named Godkiller, releasing three albums between 1996 and 2000 which moved from medieval black metal towards a blend of metal and electronica nourished by memories of the ‘80s.
Time has passed, Duke has aged… but he has never stopped creating music, nor ceased evolving. Now working as Herr B, several years’ worth of his latest compositions were transformed into the 2020 debut album lullabies for babies released under the name a prayer for the worst.
New album, life is a lonely path, finds Herr B continuing his exploration of uneasy, emaciated sounds in his insatiable quest to find musical expressions of anguish and final rest.
